Evergreen Doubles Ladder is Back
The Doubles Ladder is now on-line, hosted on the Quick-Draws site. Like the singles ladder on the Gigasport site, players must log-in to record matches. No log-in is required to view the current state of the ladder.
All intra-club doubles matches are valid ladder matches — assuming all the players involved are on the ladder. And, to sweeten the pie, all ladder matches count toward the BC Doubles Rankings — assuming at least one player in each pair is a current Squash BC member, and already has a BC Doubles Ranking.
Lynn Broman and Rick Kochanski have put together a couple of web pages that pretty much tell you everything you need to know.
So check it out, if not already on the ladder, join, and start making your mark in the club doubles rankings!

Letter to Evergreen Members — November 23, 2009
This is a brief update on the PSA player signings for the 2010 Comfort Inn Squash Championships to be held at our Evergreen Squash Club during the January 12–17, 2010 period.
We thought you'd like to know that the PSA player registration is now open and as of this date, twenty-two players have signed up, twelve of them ranked #80 or better. The headliner for this group is World #13 Mohamad Azlan Iskandar (Mas). This is the 10th year on the PSA tour for the 29 year old whose best ranking was #11 in September 2008.
As well, our 2006 champion, Renan Lavigne, who beat Joey Barrington 3-2 in our 2006 tournament and who lost to Shahier Razik 3-1 in the final of our 2007 tournament, has signed up. Renan is currently ranked #35.
And, speaking of Shahier, who is our 2007 champion and 2008 finalist, he has provided an iron clad verbal guarantee that he will return to Evergreen and attempt to regain his crown. He is currently ranked #28.
Entries for the PSA draw close on December 15, 2009 so we expect the current entry of twenty-two players to swell considerably in the next few weeks.
We are also very optimistic regarding our chances for an outstanding draw as we fit neatly between two tournaments — the $28,000 event in Los Angeles the week prior, and the $92,500 event in New York the week after.
By the way, our theme this year is to ‟Play, Help, Watch – Be Involved”. So let us know if you'd like to Play in the event (we expect approximately 150 amateurs to enter), Help with the event (we need volunteers to undertake numerous tasks), and/or Watch the event (become a Patron, Benefactor or Court Sponsor).
Finally, as a Christmas suggestion, consider giving the squash lover in your family a Benefactor ($100.00) or a Patron ($175.00) gift. Call Paul Marley, Gary Bombay or Dave Watson for details.
