Evergreen Squash Club — Fun Fast Fit
Extend your squash life!
An Evergreen Squash Club membership is one terrific value.
Been playing singles for a few years, and starting to feel a little slower, or not quite as youthful. Perhaps, not quite as fit as one once was. Then, I believe, doubles squash is what you are looking for.
Still fit enough to get on court, have good racquet skills, and able to anticipate your opponent's next shot, then you have what it takes to become a good doubles player. If you have always depended on your speed to compensate for your less than stellar skills, you should likely avoid the doubles court.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how much enjoyment you will get out of the game. Don't have a doubles court at your club? Join Evergreen, either as a full member (so you can keep playing singles), or as a "doubles only" member, and keep the membership at your current club.
Have questions or just want to get the ball rolling, use our on-line form.

Evergreen Summer Doubles Tournament Summary
July 27, 2006
72 entries representing 57 teams played in the Summer
Doubles Tournament hosted by Evergreen Squash Club July 18
- 23rd. This tournament is starting to get noticed across North
America now: we had 2 entries from Toronto; 1 from Denver; 1
from New York; and another team from Toronto & Denver but
had to cancel at the last moment – all had a keen interest
to bring more people next year.
We actually had another person interested from Denver who
emailed me that he wanted an entry form because he could not
find one at his club - Denver Athletic Club! I of course
apologized we did not send his club entries and reassured him
we would do that next year.
As the weekend witnessed record heat, the action on court
was just as hot. The ball just wouldn’t die and we had more
games going to 5 than any other year. This backed up courts on
all days. Saturday play started at 9:00am and did not finish
till after 10:00pm (2 hours behind schedule). So thank you for
coping with the heat and your patience.
The results
are now avaialable on-line.
I would like to thank the following sponsors and clubs for
their support: Capilano Suspension Bridge; Freybe Sausage; Gary
Bombay with ADPRO & Shippam; Happy Planet Juices; Black Knight;
Credential Direct; Mr Lube; Racquets & Runners and the Hollyburn
Country Club and the Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club for
the use of their doubles court.
Also, a big thank you to our volunteers: Marv Mizinski,
Lynn Dustan, Richard Dustan and Lynn Broman. And last but not
least, Charles Bristow & Monica for putting on a great party
on Saturday night.
Thanks,
Mark Heaney,
Tournament Chairman
