2009 Membership Renewals
Yes, another year has flown by and it's time to renew your
membership for the period September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2010!
Please note that we will not be mailing renewal notices and forms
to current members. You can get the forms on-line,
or pick them up at the club.
If you know of members who do not access our web site, please
let them know they will need to pick up their renewal form(s) at
the club. Or, better yet, print them a copy when you do yours.
We are pleased to advise that we are not increasing our annual
dues, although we are increasing our monthly dues a little to cover
the cost of the additional administration involved.
Completed renewal forms and
payment instructions should be received by August 31, 2009.

‟Membership Mail” Slot in the lobby, or

There are several issues that we would like to bring to your attention:
- 1. Incentive to Pay in Full, by Cheque, by August 31, 2009
- As you know, we are a member owned club, run by member
volunteers, and annual payments, by cheque, received by end of
August, is our preferred method of payment, as this involves a
minimum amount of ongoing administration. To encourage this
option, we are therefore offering the following incentive:
If Annual Dues for 2009/10 are paid by cheque, and received in the
‟Membership Mail” slot by midnight, August 31, 2009,
Member's name will be entered into a draw with the winner receiving
a $500 cash prize! Draw to be made by
September 15.
Incentive to apply to all categories except Junior and Inactive.
- 2. Debit Card Payments
- We are eliminating payment by debit card due to ongoing administrative
problems, although we will continue to accept credit card payments for
both the annual amount and monthly payments. Should you wish to pay by credit card,
please complete an Electronic
Payment Information Form in addition to a Membership Renewal Form.
- 3. Squash BC Membership Payments
- Membership in Squash BC is mandatory for all Singles and Doubles League participants,
and all players (Juniors, Students and Adults) taking part in tournaments of any
description.
Adult annual dues on an individual basis are currently $36.75 (GST included) for the period
November 1, 2009 through October 31, 2010. The group rate is $30.00 + $1.50 GST =
$31.50. Squash BC have also now introduced a Student (17 to 25) rate for 2009/10;
Individual rate is $25.00 + $1.75 GST = $26.75; Group rate is $20.00 + $1.00 GST = $21.00.
Junior (under 17) rate for 2009/10 is $15.00 + $0.75 GST = $15.75 for both Individual and
Group rate.
If you wish to take advantage of the Group rate for Squash BC dues, we need to receive your
Membership Renewal Form and Payment Instructions on or before September 20, 2009.
After this date, you should pay Squash BC directly at the Individual rate.

In order to ensure that our files are up-to-date, please
fill out all requested fields.
Payment
Due to large amounts of volunteer participation and the
launch of what we anticipate to be a successful membership
drive, we will not be raising our annual dues this year! To
keep this trend going, we will need continued volunteer
support, and your assistance in helping us attract new
members. Introduce a friend, put up one of the printed
8.5x11 posters on a local bulletin board, or slap on a bumper
sticker — every bit helps.
N.B. For administrative reasons, we would like to
encourage members to pay annually via cheque (ideal,
so we don't pay credit card fees each month, see above), or, one time, via credit card
(same price as paying by cheque). However, you can still
pay monthly, if that works best for you. Though, please
note that due to an increase in Visa processing fees, we
will be raising our monthly dues.
