juniors who do not regularly attend training sessions. Any
children who will only be able to attend either the Friday
or Sunday session, please let Phil Arthur know.
Application Process
Please contact Alicia Haneine for information on:
- A new applicant
- A renewal
- Request for Senior playing privileges
Parent Participation
In order to maintain the affordable price, the Junior
program is dependent on volunteers. Parents will be expected
to be available for various duties including coaching, court
monitors, and phoning. If you will be unavailable Nov. 7-9 to
help with the Junior Tournament, please advise Bill Vipond
(604.926.5567) in advance. Parental assistance in the
Evergreen Junior tournament, November 7-9, is mandatory.
Supplemental Coaching
In addition to coaching and instruction provided in the
program, Evergreen's squash professional, Phil Arthur, is
available for private or semi-private lessons outside the
program. For more information please contact Phil at
604.267.2376.
Rules
Evergreen has developed a set of rules of conduct that must
be followed by each member. Each junior will be supplied with
a roster which includes a copy of all the club rules. Any
improper conduct will be dealt with by the committee. We remind
juniors that:
- Non-marking white shoes and goggles must be worn while on the courts. No exceptions. If you do not have running shoes which you have put aside for squash, please remember to clean your runners before entering the courts.
- Please respect the club, the members and the facilities.. No running or throwing balls inside the club.
- No hitting walls with your racquet, throwing your racquet or unacceptable language in anger on or off the courts.
- Always knock on the door of a court before entering. If the court is in use wait for the doors to be opened from inside. Do not knock before your scheduled time.
- Please arrive 10 minutes early so that you have time to get changed.
- Report upstairs and check your name off the attendance sheet. All notices and information will always be beside the attendance sheet. This includes a league sign up sheet, tournament information and any schedule changes.
