In-house doubles — Notes
Evergreen will be hosting Vancouver Ladies Doubles Squash League January 28th. There will be no in-house on that evening. Court open for booking at 9 PM.
Welcome Albert Troll to in-house doubles. Shan Trouton (has been away for a couple of years healing his body) is keen to give doubles a try. If you can include Ab and Shan in a practice hit or match, we're sure they would appreciate that.
No in-house the week of February 1st to make way for Jesters Doubles Tournament.
These last couple of days, it looks like spring has arrived. Snowdrops, and crocus showing blooms in many gardens. So, if you plan on starting your spring garden cleaning, or, perhaps, getting away during the Olympic headiness, please let Lynn Broman know if you wish your in-house doubles profile, or preferences, to be adjusted. Player preferences, as used for this week's schedule, are available on-line.
Someone is always busy, so, be in touch with those in your foursome and avoid no shows.
If any groups decide not to play, please notifiy Adam Radziminski, or Rob Forrest so that the court may be freed for web booking.
If you are unable to make your match, you are responsible for arranging a replacement. Lynn doesn't mind giving a hand in the search; but, it is your responsibility.

General Doubles — Notes
NB! Evergreen Doubles Ladder
Quick-Draws is a local company that Evergreen has engaged to provide a ranking system for the Evergreen Doubles Ladder. Many of you are already familiar with Quick-Draws as they support the scheduling for Vancouver Squash League and Doubles League. They also do the singles and doubles ranking for the province.
With this new service now available to Evergreen members, it is the expectation that all in-house doubles match scores will be recorded on the ladder by players accessing Quick-Draws.
If you have not signed up, please do that soon. All four players must be registered before a match result can be recorded on the club doubles ladder.
To record results on the Evergreen Doubles Ladder on Quick-Draws you need a password in order to login. This can be done easily by going to the Evergreen Ladder pages on the Quick-Draws website.
If you are already using this service, great. After matches a quick check that all players are registered, and a discussion of who will record the results will help to avoid duplication of results.
In-house players will be expecting that the outcome of a match will go towards ranking on the ladder. If one person is not registered, that spoils it for the other 3 players.
VDSL & VLDSL
VDSL has a full schedule of matches this week. VLDSL (Ladies) will be using Evergreen court from 6-9 PM on Thursday. Court open for booking at 9 PM.
Quick-Draws and Rick Kochanski's unofficial doubles head-quarters have the latest on league scores and schedules.
In-house doubles — Want to join in?
Let Lynn Broman (Lynn Broman) know if you wish to be included. Please, specify wall, and preferred days (Monday, Tuesday, and/or Thursday).
Evergreen Doubles Ladder is Back
The Doubles Ladder is now on-line, hosted on the Quick-Draws site. Like the singles ladder on the Gigasport site, players must log-in to record matches. No log-in is required to view the current state of the ladder.
All intra-club doubles matches are valid ladder matches — assuming all the players involved are on the ladder. And, to sweeten the pie, all ladder matches count toward the BC Doubles Rankings — assuming at least one player in each pair is a current Squash BC member, and already has a BC Doubles Ranking.
Lynn Broman and Rick Kochanski have put together a couple of web pages that pretty much tell you everything you need to know.
So check it out, if not already on the ladder, join, and start making your mark in the club doubles rankings!
