In-house doubles — Notes
Viktor Berg cranked it up with 9 enthused players last Tuesday. He has another doubles clinic coming up February 9th.
Some groups looking for spares. Contact group member if you are interested.
The Evergreen Doubles Ladder is now on-line. The goal is to have all active doubles players on the Evergreen Doubles Ladder and have inhouse, friendlies, and network matches all recorded against the club doubles ladder using Quick-Draws.
Winter Olympics fast approaching, and it looks like spring has arrived. Snowdrops, and crocus showing blooms in most gardens. So, if you plan on starting your spring garden cleaning, or, perhaps, getting away during the Olympic headiness, please let Lynn Broman know if you wish your in-house doubles profile, or preferences, to be adjusted. Player preferences, as used for this week's schedule, are available on-line.
Someone is always busy, so, be in touch with those in your foursome and avoid no shows.
If any groups decide not to play, please notifiy Adam Radziminski, or Rob Forrest so that the court may be freed for web booking.
If you are unable to make your match, you are responsible for arranging a replacement. Lynn doesn't mind giving a hand in the search; but, it is your responsibility.
Doubles Tournaments — Coming Up
BC Mixed Doubles

Details to be announced.
General Doubles — Notes
NB! Evergreen Doubles Ladder
Quick-Draws is a local company that Evergreen has engaged to provide a ranking system for the Evergreen Doubles Ladder. Many of you are already familiar with Quick-Draws as they support the scheduling for Vancouver Squash League and Doubles League. They also do the singles and doubles ranking for the province.
Please be clear that Quick-Draws is not associated with GigaSports. They have separate web sites and separate secure areas. They each have a password system.
Only one person should record a match score. Do not record scores from tournaments or doubles league. That is done by administrators. There is no internal check for duplication of a match result.
Let our motto be ‟Play hard, Play fair, Have fun. Care enough to record your score.”
We have fairly detailed information about getting a password for the club ladder on Quick-Draws, and, thereafter, recording scores available on-line.
VDSL & VLDSL
VDSL is inactive until after the Olympics. The next date for which matches are scheduled is March 3, 2010.
The ladies' league are playing this coming Thursday, February 11. Then they take an Olympic break; commencing play again on March 4, 2010.
Quick-Draws and Rick Kochanski's unofficial doubles head-quarters have the latest on league scores and schedules.
In-house doubles — Want to join in?

Evergreen Squash Club — Fun Fast Fit
Extend your squash life!
An Evergreen Squash Club membership is one terrific value.
Been playing singles for a few years, and starting to feel a little slower, or not quite as youthful. Perhaps, not quite as fit as one once was. Then, I believe, doubles squash is what you are looking for.
Still fit enough to get on court, have good racquet skills, and able to anticipate your opponent's next shot, then you have what it takes to become a good doubles player. If you have always depended on your speed to compensate for your less than stellar skills, you should likely avoid the doubles court.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how much enjoyment you will get out of the game. Don't have a doubles court at your club? Join Evergreen, either as a full member (so you can keep playing singles), or as a "doubles only" member, and keep the membership at your current club.
Have questions or just want to get the ball rolling, use our on-line form.
